Mark Armstrong

Mark Armstrong has been the World History and Government teacher at Perry Lecompton High School for 19 years.  He gradutated from Winona State College with a B.S. in Education along with a major in Social Science and PE in 1975. He has been teaching for the past 33 years.

Outside of school Mr. Armstrong enjoys walking, riding his bike, woodcarving, using his power tools, lifting weights and reading adventure novels.  His favorite memory is riding his bike across the Rocky Mountains from Durango to Denver in 7 days - 407 miles of mountains!

"I like the interaction with hundreds of students each week.  I love to teach history and government/politics.  I find it interesting and exciting.  I became a teacher because I like all of my educational experiences in high school and college.  I was highly involved in sports and musical activities (band and choir).  My teachers were very motivating!"
