Mrs. Carey has been teaching for 31

years. She has been with the Perry-Lecompton School district for 18 

years. Currently, Mrs. Carey teaches 8th grade Language Arts, PLHS Mythology and PLHS English for Life. Mrs. Carey has a Bachelor’s of Science in Education degree from the Kansas University.

        The moment when a student "gets it" is what drives Mrs. Carey to do her best as a teacher. She loves working with young people and really likes being able to be in charge of her own classroom.

       Mrs. Carey has a husband named John and two boys, Devin and Chandler. Outside of school Mrs. Carey enjoys animals, being outside, watching movies, shopping, and riding the Harley-Davidson with her husband.
