PLHS Aerobic & Fitness Room

The cardio room at the high school started around May of  2016. Mr. Hupfauf wanted a way to keep people in shape in addition to lifting weights, so he made a solution by creating this room. All of the equipment within this room were donated by putting flyers up around the town of Perry and Lecompton and also by advertising it on Craigslist. The amazing thing about this room is did not cost the school district any money. Mr. Hupfauf is always looking to add more equipment to the room and would like to add 3 new pieces of equipment to replace 2 machines that he does not like and another one that is broken. The room currently has 2 rowers, 2 treadmils, 3 stationary biking machines, 3 stair steppers and 1 ab coaster. Kids who take regular conditioning classes have the opportunity to work on the cardio equipment for 25 minutes every day of class. Students who have injuries also now have a place to rehab their injuries as well. Teachers also have the opportunity to use the equipment after school and many have taken advantage of that as well.  The cardio room is a great addition to the high school and gives students and staff a place to stay physically fit.
