Student Council

The Perry-Lecompton Student Council is a student leadership group that works to make the school a better place. Members are voted into office by peers and then serve as an officer for one school year, until the the next elections. Student Council does many great things for the school and community. In the fall, they coordinate the "Kaws that Care" canned food drive. This is a competition between the upperclassmen and lowerclassmen at PLHS to see who can collect the most cans. Cans go to foodbanks around Perry and Lecompton.

In the spring, STUCO sponsors another community project. This year, they have decided to raise money for Children's Mercy Hospital. Throughout the semester Student Council members will participate in fundraisers to raise money for Children's Mercy Hospital.
